Permit Architectural Administrator
Job Description
As a Permit Architectural Administrator working for Taylor Morrison you will be supporting our Construction Department. You will be providing all levels of support with the permit process in addition to building relationships with the municipalities to ensure expeditious release.
We trust that as a Permit Architectural Administrator you will: (responsibilities)
- Build relationships with different municipalities on behalf of Taylor Morrison
- Drive successful attainment of permits to assist in the Starts process
- Maintain all vendor applications for each municipality including permit applications
- Ensure that all construction positions are well staffed with individuals that are competent in technical abilities, cost control measures, administrative and customer service skills
- Maintain reports to include: permit tracking log, sold not started, inventory management, and other various permitting spreadsheets
- Process permits including tracking down all necessary documents, applying for and following the permits through each municipality
- Pay all fees including impacts, permits, and red tags
- Apply for utilities including power and water for each lot
- Assist builders with miscellaneous issues such as fees or holds
- Prepare and distribute packages and permits to the builders
- You are willing to perform other duties as assigned
- Coordinate product development with internal customers, outside consultants, and municipalities. Shifting timelines will require constant management and reprioritization of projects and deadlines to meet division goals
- Schedule and facilitate plan review sessions with builder, vendors and purchasing. Follow up ownership for architecture updates resulting from the review sessions
- Ensure proper use of plan revision process; track and facilitate any requests through to implementation
- Architectural Services: Identify and communicate any issues with plans and layouts to applicable parties
- Maintain plans in Hyphen/BuildPro / Shrepoint controlling the release of new plans and updated plans to our vendors, builders and sales
- Knowledge of Bluebeam / CAD / Planswift would be strongly desired

About you:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 3 years minimum experience permitting with a large production homebuilder
- Willing to travel locally 70% of the time
- Must have ability to multitask with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong sense of urgency
- Must have excellent overall computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $24.04-$33.03
Bonus Eligible
Will have responsibilities such as:
- This position is considered a non-exempt position for purposes of wage-hour law, which means that you will be required to keep a time record and will be eligible for overtime pay.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
