Construction Coordinator
Job Description Summary
The Construction Coordinator serves as the central communication and operational link between construction project supervisors, vendors, permitting, and finance. This role is responsible for coordinating activities across multiple departments to ensure construction projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.Job Details
We trust that as a Construction Coordinator you will: (responsibilities)
- Act as the primary liaison between construction supervisors, subcontractors, permitting, and finance teams
- Process construction invoices with accurate coding via web software while cross-referencing budgets for variances or abnormal expenditures
- Manage various construction budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of costs and timely reporting of deviations
- Perform audit reviews of construction plans, schedules, and anchor budgets, escalating discrepancies to the applicable department
- Provide administrative support to the Vice President of Construction and the Leadership team
- Generate executive reporting and track performance patterns as needed for area construction managers and supervisors
- Schedule and facilitate regular construction meetings and document follow-up communication across teams to ensure alignment on project status, priorities, and issues
- Identify risks and implement solutions to keep projects on track and within scope
- Thoroughly research for documentation upon litigation requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in construction coordination, project management, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of construction processes, permitting, budgeting, and scheduling
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams
- High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Will have responsibilities such as:
- This position is considered a non-exempt position for purposes of wage-hour law, which means that you will be required to keep a time record and will be eligible for overtime pay.

- Report to Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to schedule

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
- The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
