Forward Planning Manager
Job Description
As a Forward Planning Manager working for Taylor Morrison you will be responsible for the managing a team who determines the utility of a Planned Acquisition, Entitlement of a property including obtaining zoning and governmental approvals, Oversee the completion, submittal and approval of construction plans and Oversee the Tax appeal process within the Division.
We trust that as a Forward Planning Manager you will: (responsibilities)
- Due diligence including the physical and financial feasibility of a planned community
- Walking the site with the ability to determine potential for special development situations
- Walk the site with the ability to determine potential for special development situations
- Be aware and knowledgeable in adjacent zoning classifications
- Review existing and possible proposed zoning classifications, determine if existing stipulations exist
- Research and organize market data to determine the financial estimated results of a planned community and appropriate product to be used to maximize profit
- Work with consultants to prepare plans for submittal
- Attend public hearings and speak as required
- Solicit bids, coordinate and track responses from vendors to ensure best pricing and product delivery

About you:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Willing to travel
FLSA Status: Exempt
Will have responsibilities such as:
- Office or non-manual work, which is directly related to management or general business operations
- Act as a primary component of which involves the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance

- Report to Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to schedule
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device
- Ability to have face to face conversations with customers, co-workers and higher level manager
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and move around work environment as needed
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle if applicable
- Comply with company policies and procedure
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
- The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
*Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of training program may override required education and/or experience requirement.
